Faith Milestones

Faith Milestones are intentional milestone-based rites of passage that celebrate God’s presence, mark faith development, and support lifelong faith formation at home and in the community. At Trinity, we offer classes at specific times of the year to help support you and your child on your faith journey.

Baptism: Infant +

Whether by birth or by adoption, one of the most exciting events in our lives is a child entering the family. As Christians, we look upon the gift of life as coming from God.

If you’re interested in getting baptized, or baptizing your child at Trinity, we encourage you to complete the interest form below.

Once you complete the form, Pastor Erdos will reach out to you to set up a time to discuss pre-baptismal instruction, scheduling, sponsors, and more.

Baptism Interest Form

Are you interested in learning more about Baptism? Maybe you grew up in a different faith tradition, are new to the faith and want to understand what Baptism is, or maybe you just want to learn more. Join us for our 4-course study on Baptism in May.

First Communion: 2nd Grade +

In the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), First Communion is the milestone celebration when a baptized person first receives the sacrament of Holy Communion. Usually occurring around 2nd grade, it marks a child's readiness to receive the bread and wine, representing Christ's real presence, following age-appropriate instruction.

At Trinity, we have a few classes to help prepare both you as the parent, and your child, for this step. Learn more and sign up below.

Scripture Milestone: 4th Grade +

Do you have a young person in 4th grade or older, who is ready to dive a little deeper into learning about the Bible? Scripture Milestone Classes explore what the Holy Scriptures are–and aren't–who wrote them, what's in them, and how to read them together as a family. These classes, like First Communion, are for the child and their parents or caregivers.

While this is a 4th grade faith milestone, we understand we have older youth who have not yet participated in this class for various reasons, and you are welcome.

Baccalaureate: High School Seniors

Please help us make sure our Baccalaureate list is complete! Use this form to share the name of your senior and the school/institution from which they are graduating.

All high school seniors are invited to participate in the Baccalaureate Service during the 10:30 liturgy on Sunday, May 31, 2026. We ask that you please bring your cap and gown.
