This September, the Trinity Ringers & Celebration Ringers of Trinity English kicked off the 2017-2018 year. In addition to weekly rehearsals and playing for worship, many of the ringers and their spouses went on a Canal Boat ride along the three rivers of Fort Wayne. Modeled after an 1840s canal boat, our "Sweet Breeze" boat and crew took us on a picturesque view of Fort Wayne.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 2. We will be hosting a festival and concert featuring area handbell choirs and internationally known handbell clinician Tim Waugh. Below is a picture from the handbell festival the choirs attended this past spring.
Welcome, and thanks for visiting the Music Blog of Trinity English. Although folks see us working on a Sunday morning, we occasionally bump into someone who is curious about what goes on within the music ministry throughout the week. So we are excited to utilize this opportunity to give one a glimpse of we are up to.
There are currently 10 choral and instrumental ensembles that meet on a regular basis. It’s a real blessing (and sometimes, adventure) to be able to work with participants that range in age from 5 to “senior status.” Furthermore, the musical training/experience of participants ranges from significant to non-existent. Regardless, there are a lot of dedicated, cool people who offer what time and talent they have – and the result is pretty amazing!
Expect to see features or updates on those ensembles (either in public settings or behind the scenes), check out special events and trips offered through the music ministry, and ponder with us how – through worship, music, and the arts – God is working in and through us.
