From the early days of the Old Testament, the people of God have witnessed of their faith utilizing the gift of music. Music is a unique tool by which the formation of faith can find deeper meaning, in which community can be formed.
Music and the arts are an integral part of life at Trinity English, as evidenced by the wonderful instruments we have on-hand, the rehearsal, performance and gathering spaces available to us, as well as our commissioned and recorded music. We offer several opportunities for singers, musicians and artists: Choral Ensembles, Instrumental Ensembles, Concerts & Special Events, E3: Youth Arts Program, and Shining Lights: Children's Arts Program If you are interested in becoming involved in any of these groups, please contact a member of our music ministry staff.
Special Choral Evening Prayer in January - Plan to attend a special choral Evening Prayer service on Sunday afternoon, January 13th at 4:00 p.m. Trinity's Chancel Choir and members of the Adult Choir of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Dublin, OH, will join forces to offer a variety of musical pieces within the liturgy; the brief service will be immediately followed by a mini-concert of enjoyable music sung by both groups. The groups will be directed by Bob Hobby and Jeremy Bankson. In addition to being a special event, it is also part of the preparation both choirs are making for their joint trip to Ireland and England in June. Luther College Nordic Choir to Perform at Trinity! - We are excited to announce that the renowned Nordic Choir from Luther College will be performing at Trinity English on Tuesday evening, February 5th at 7:00 p.m. As an extra bonus, the 80 voice collegiate choir will be joined by Concordia Lutheran High School's 75-voice A Cappella choir. There is no ticket charge for the concert; a free-will offering will be received. It's guaranteed to be an incredible evening.
Housing Needed for Luther College - Part of the gift of hosting a college choir is hosting fine students in your home, giving you a chance to show a little hoosier hospitality! All one has to do is pick them up following the concert, share a little snack food over conversation before bed, feed them breakfast, and return them Wednesday morning. Hosts consistently comment how enjoyable the opportunity is. If you can host students (minimum of 2 per household) on Tuesday evening, please email Robert Hobby at email@example.com.
