Ready or not, we’re on our way to London! We are all (Scott, Luanne, Pastor Erdos, and I) sitting at the Fort Wayne airport as we await our flight to Chicago that will then lead us to London!
It’s surreal that it is finally time for us to be on our way. We’ve been preparing for this trip for months through reading, online discussion, and just general discussion between ourselves. I’m expectant and nervous and all sorts of feelings, but I’m overall just so excited to get there and get going. Miraculously, I don’t think I overpacked, and I even have room in my suitcase to pack souvenirs for my nearest and dearest.
My last act of preparation was somewhat indulgent: I got my nails done with some London-centric nail art!
We fly out of Chicago tonight around 7 o’clock and get to London sometime around 9 o’clock in the morning. Then it’s a full day of exploring and getting over jet lag before our class starts in the afternoon on Saturday. Besides the 4 of us from Trinity, there will be 9 others in our class. We are broken up into small groups of 4 for discussion (and we are in different groups) and deeper contemplation. I am also excited to meet these people we’ve been interacting with for months online. I hope to learn just as much from them as from London itself.
