See what e3 participants did this Winter semester!
|
After the holiday break we returned for our winter semester. During this time we partnered with The Fort Wayne Youtheatre. Christopher “Murph” Murphy and Emersen Conner spent 6 weeks introducing the children to the basics of acting. They played a variety of games that taught the children about verbal and nonverbal communication.
Here the children were asked to convince the person holding the bowl to pass them the imaginary bowl of potatoes. They were only allowed to say the words, “Please pass the potatoes.” All other communication had to be nonverbal. |
In another activity the children were asked to create a scene where one character tries to get the other to do something. Here one is convincing the other to give them a cookie. Each character could only say one word, requiring them to use tone of voice and gesture to communicate.
It was 6 weeks of joy, fun and learning for the participants. As time went on each child became more comfortable in their communication and actions. Thank you, Fort Wayne Youthheatre, for hanging with us! |

The Junior Choir (grades 3rd-6th) enjoyed a fun day out where they explored Science Central, enjoyed lunch together and played laser tag.
