A frank and open “dialogue about race” in Fort Wayne. You’re welcome to attend the sessions on Wednesday evenings, 6:30- 8:00 p.m. in room 111 of the education wing at Trinity English. The purpose of the sessions is just to learn more about how our neighbors’ lives are different from---and similar to---our own. Our recent Thinking Out Loud magazine explored this issue.
Many people have been intrigued and interested in bringing the conversation to a more interactive opportunity. With the help of Fort Wayne UNITED’s Chris Cathcart, a vice chancellor at Ivy Tech, we’ll get to the heart of what’s behind the challenges of meeting new friends from different backgrounds. We’ll follow a curriculum designed by Fort Wayne UNITEDand utilized in a couple of other local congregations, to begin to understand our community, our neighbors and ourselves better through the lens of racial experiences.
Please join us for this enlightening and enriching dialogue. Feel free to bring a friend. Childcare will be provided from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. and all are welcome to enjoy the community dinner in Wagenhals at 6:00 p.m.
