WORD ALIVE, Sundays, 10:00 a.m., May 1 - August 29, Fireside Room Mondays Monday Morning Bible Study, 9:15 a.m., Fireside Room. Beginning September 13, the group will be studying "Journey through the Epistles." DISCIPLE II B, 1:00 -- 2:30 p.m., Chapel Lounge. Beginning September 13, the group will continue to study Exodus and look at the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles. Tuesdays Tuesday Lunchtime Study; 12:15-1:15 p.m., Fireside Room, beginning again October 5, 2010. Everyone is welcome to bring their bible and if they wish, a bite to eat. This fall the group will be studying the book of Isaiah. Thursdays Trinity English Book Club meets the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Library and will begin meeting again on September 16, 2010. New members are always welcome! For September the club will look at the book Paul: A Novel by Walter Wangerin Jr. Mr. Wangerin brings us a dramatic, fictionalized retelling of the life of Paul based on biblical texts and extensive on-site research. Readers gain a new appreciation for the sacrifices of the apostles and the early believers and gain new insights into the Bible. Upcoming books that the club will read and discuss are March by Geraldine Brooks (October), Homer and Langley by E. L. Doctorow (November), and Mayflower: A Story of Courage, Community, and War by Nathaniel Philbrick (January). There is no December meeting.
