Middle school is an exciting time in the life of a young person and middle school ministries at Trinity are vibrant, fun, and pretty exciting!
You will meet new friends, make new discoveries, enjoy adventure, and grow in your faith.
Please join us for Christian education, music, drama, fellowship, service, and fun. Whatever your interests, you’ll find something for you at Trinity English. You are not only welcome here, but you will belong.
Here We Stand Confirmation (grades 6, 7, 8) – Here We Stand Confirmation meets on alternating Sundays from 10:00 am until 12 noon. Through the course of three years, students will learn about the Bible, the 10 Commandments, the Creeds, and the Lord’s Prayer. We will learn about Martin Luther and the Lutheran church. You will learn about leadership skills and then put them into practice. Students participate in a small group of other young people their age and an adult mentor. Here We Stand Confirmation is a great opportunity to learn, to have fun, and to grow.
People of Faith at Work – Middle School students take part in People of Faith at Work on Sundays at 10:00 am when we don’t have Here We Stand Confirmation. This is an opportunity to put your faith into practice by taking part in hands on service opportunities.
Middle School Youth Group (grades 6, 7, 8) – Middle School students meet together for fellowship, service, and fun. Friends are always welcome. Middle School Youth Group meets on Sundays when Confirmation classes do not meet.
Order of St. John (grades 6 and up) – Students have the opportunity to serve during the year, assisting in the liturgy of the people at Sunday worship, festival services, and special services. Order of St. John (usually called “OSJ”) students serve as acolytes, crucifers, Bible bearers, and in other ways. The congregation appreciates the leadership provided by our OSJ members.
Youth Trips – Middle school youth attend Youth Quake in Indianapolis each January. It’s a weekend packed full of activity, energy, music, friends, and fun. They also have the opportunity to attend Confirmation Camp at Camp Lutherwald each summer.
Middle School Youth Ministry Team – This team, consisting of both middle school youth and adults, provides leadership for all of our middle school youth ministry efforts.
